"Hi Verlon. I was in the hospital 1 1/2 yr. ago and you came in with your harp and played, bringing tears to my eyes because of the beautiful music! I went in to have a growth removed from my stomach........it was to be a simple operation but I ended up there for 2 1/2 mo. and on a feeding tube for 6 mo. It was a very trying time for me but my faith remained strong. I am okay now. Thank you for playing that beautiful music for me at a time when I was feeling down. May the Lord bless you always."

"Through your harp, you offered a quintessential form of comfort that hearts who grieve are so hungry to hear and so cautious about opening themselves to receive. Thank you for bearing witness to their need for comfort and for offering hope."
~ Elizabeth Knowlton, Bereavement Coordinator VITAS - Orlando, FL

"Dear Ms. Verlon, Thank you so much for your kindness and devotion in teaching me the many mysteries of the harp. I have always enjoyed your instruction and sad to leave you and the Conservatory. I am so grateful that God brought you to St. Andrews! If He hadn't, I never would have learned to play the harp. Thank you so much for being obedient to God's call and I pray that He sends you many more dedicated students. In Christ's Love"

"Lying there in the delivery room awaiting the birth of my first baby, (Preston would be his name), my delivery nurse came in to ask if I would like a harpist to come in and play some soothing music to help me relax. I said I would love it. She came in with a smile on her face and greeted me ever so politely. She congratulated me on my precious gift that would arrive soon. My contractions were pretty intense by now. She sat down facing me and started to play. The sound was so calming and angelic as she played Brahm's Lullaby. Tears streamed down my face and so many emotions took over. I was so excited to meet my little baby boy. I looked over at my Mother who was also filled with tears of joy and the love for her music. The harp music eased the pain of my contractions! I don't know how I would have gotten through it without her gift of music! She truly touched all our hearts! Thank you so much for making my labor calm and emotionally precious."
