Certified Music Practitioner (CMP)

Verlon Eason is a graduate of MHTP (Music For Healing and Transition Program) and is a Certified Music Practitioner. Verlon brings healing sounds to patients at area hospitals, nursing or assisted living facilities, and, hospices through therapeutic harp music.

Healing is defined as the restoration, realization and or maintenance of physical, mental, emotional and or spiritual wholeness.

Although healing is not synonymous with curing, clinical research has shown that live acoustic music played for the sick produces a healing environment:

• Premature babies gain weight faster, use oxygen more efficiently with shorter hospital stays in ICU
• Stabilizes Heart Rate & Respiration
• Relief of Stress
• Aids in digestion
  
• Reducing the need for anesthesia and pain relievers
• Lowers Blood Pressure
• Increases production of endorphine, which reduce pain
• Increases salivary immunoglobulin which speeds healing
